Each Friday meet a featured entrepreneur, all are trusted colleagues, many I am honored to call friends, the others I just stalked mercilessly until they said YES, and some are even current clients or graduated ones.....but I'll let them decide if they want to share that! You'll learn a thing or two and likely laugh a bit. They are all as candid in real life as they are here! 

 

A little back story on today's Featured Entrepreneur. I had long known of this woman and really tracked what she was up to - it was 2007. Late that year I received an invitation through a mutual friend to attend a "great gals gathering" at Nancy's home! I felt like I was going to meet Oprah! We struck up a friendship and through the years have counseled and cajoled one another. Laughed and shed a few tears, what I know about Nancy is who you see is who you get to know. Enjoy getting to know her today.

 

Describe yourself - Since 2001, I've walked my Get Known to Get Paid talk to earn my place on live and virtual stages and make quite a name for myself with quite a few luminaries I    once admired from afar.  And this is despite my fears and foibles. Today I challenge my clients to step beyond their fears, celebrate their distinct ways of serving,          and show up as the best expression of talents and skills to serve their best clients. When I am not leading a webinar or speaking from a stage, I am walking dogs, enjoying nature, spending time with my husband, and feeling happy and grateful for our blessings.  My favorite summer memory happened 20 years ago while enjoying a cold drink with my husband Steve from our backyard deck in Bellevue, Washington on a warm July evening. We decided that the time was right to start a family.  Our son Kyle is now 19 years old and off to great things. We are so proud and lucky.

 

 

Describe your business – My work is focused on guiding aspiring speakers and coaches to get known and paid for their brilliant work. My premium clients engage in the Get Known Get Paid PRIVATE Mentoring Program and enjoy the Attract Ideal Clients and Speaking Gigs at HELLO Success Training as a bonus.  Other clients start with the Attract Ideal Clients and Speaking Gigs at HELLO Success Training and upgrade to the PRIVATE mentoring program later.  Clients early in their entrepreneurial journeys get huge value from Bye-Bye Boring Bio PLUS so they can transform their bios from lackluster to blockbuster and get known quickly.

 

What are the stunning results clients/customers get when they hire and work with you?

My best clients have transformed from invisible aspiring experts to highly visible, credible, well-paid luminaries. Today they serve from live and virtual stages   around the world with courage, confidence, and conviction to serve for good and profit.

 

What’s the biggest challenge you ever faced in your business and how did you resolve it?

The biggest challenge I have ever faced was finding the courage to BE ME and let my freak flag fly.  I may not be everyone's glass of tea, and that is OK.  Those who engage with me find my flavor to be right on the money to support them in getting seen, heard, celebrated, and compensated for their winning ways. It's very rewarding to see my clients shine big time and create treasured, lasting relationships in the process.

 

What’s the one question you wish clients would ask you but they never do?

This is a head twister.  To be honest, I am not sure. I do get asked often, "How do you do it?" And folks tell me that I inspire them. My answer:  I put one foot in front of the other every day, and I want my result enough to keep leaning in to make it real. When they tell me I inspire them, I ask why.  And folks have different answers.  Most are very validating and make me feel very proud.           

 

Best time saving business tool you use?

My amazing virtual assistant is an awesome ninja resource because she does things brilliantly for me that are well outside my own zone of brilliance, and that saves me oodles of time and aggravation.  Technology has never been my favorite thing, and thank goodness, it is among hers. TimeTrade makes it easy for clients to book appointments with me without the back and forth between the parties. InstantTeleseminar makes it easy for me to share my message around the world from the comforts of home or wherever I happen to be traveling at any point in time.
